Human Vectorizer Service for When Auto-Tracing Isn't Enough

A vectorizer app does fine with a clean, high-contrast shape, but it struggles with soft edges, fine type and anything that needs judgment. Our human service fills that gap: you send the image an automatic tool mangled, and an artist redraws it as precise vector paths, from $7 per image.

  • Fixes files that auto-tracing distorted
  • A real artist on every image

When Does a Vectorizer Need a Human Touch?

Automatic tools sort pixels by color and wrap outlines around each group. That works when edges are crisp and colors are few. It fails with low resolution, gradients, shadows, textured paper, small lettering or two shades that sit close together. In those cases the software cannot know which edge matters, so it guesses. A person can look at the image and know.

  • Judgment calls on unclear edges
  • Logical shapes instead of color fragments
  • Results you can edit without cleanup

Jobs That Need a Human Vectorizer

Situations where software output usually ends up in the trash.

Soft or Low-Res Sources

Thumbnails and compressed images where edges are only implied, rebuilt with clear intent.

Close Color Pairs

Designs with similar shades side by side, which software tends to merge into one area.

Fine Lines & Hairlines

Thin strokes that auto-tracing drops or thickens, drawn at their true weight.

Textured Backgrounds

Art on paper, fabric or wood where software traces the grain instead of the design.

Silhouettes & Stencils

Single-color cut designs that need perfectly closed shapes and bridges that hold.

Cleanup of Traced Files

Existing auto-traced vectors with thousands of points, simplified and corrected by hand.

Who Switches to a Person

People who have already tried the software route and need something dependable.

What a Person Does Better Than an App

Understands the design

An artist sees a letter, a circle or a leaf and draws it as one piece, not as fragments.

Ignores the noise

Paper grain, JPG artifacts and shadows are left out instead of being traced.

Keeps files light

Fewer points mean faster cutting, smaller files and easier edits later.

Accountable results

A Brooklyn-based company since 2010, with QC on each file and a money-back guarantee.

Automatic tool output

  • Merged areas where colors are close
  • Hairlines dropped or doubled
  • Background texture traced as shapes
  • Thousands of anchor points

Drawn by a human vectorizer

  • Each color kept distinct
  • Fine strokes at true weight
  • Only the design, no texture
  • Minimal, well-placed points

A Painted Scene Turned Into a Clean Silhouette

Fuzzy → crisp

Example: a charity bike ride organizer has a painted image of a child on a bicycle, and an automatic tool returns a mess of blotches unusable on T-shirts.

The brief
Keep the child, bike and skyline as a bold silhouette with a simple color sky, suitable for two-color screen printing.
What we do
An artist ignores the paint texture, draws the rider and bicycle as clean closed shapes and simplifies the sky into flat bands.
What you receive
Screen-print-ready AI and EPS with spot colors, an SVG, a PDF for approval and a PNG for social posts.

Vectorizer Service FAQ

It is a service where a trained artist, rather than software, converts your image into vector art. The artist redraws the shapes, lines and lettering in Illustrator, deciding where every edge belongs. The result is clean, editable artwork that scales to any size, even when automatic tools failed.

Prices begin at $7 per image for straightforward artwork. Very poor sources, complex illustrations and cleanup of messy auto-traced files are quoted higher because they take longer. You get an exact price by email after uploading, and work starts once you pay.

Automatic tools decide edges by color contrast alone. Blur, compression, texture and similar shades confuse them, so they trace noise, merge areas and add thousands of points. They cannot recognize that a shape should be a letter or a circle, which is exactly what a human artist does.

Yes. We can simplify and correct an existing traced vector or, if it is too broken, redraw it from the original image. Send both files when you can; comparing them shows us what you liked and what went wrong.

The sharpest version of the image you have, at the largest size available, plus notes on colors, fonts or the intended use. Include Pantone codes or font names if you know them. A photo of a printed sample also helps when the digital file is poor.

You do once the order is paid, provided the original artwork is yours or licensed to you. On request, we sign full ownership of the finished files over to you. Every order includes AI, EPS, SVG, PDF and PNG formats, two free revisions and our 100% money-back guarantee.
